ID Sessions

Gateway Rush is hosting I.D Sessions in April before tryouts. These sessions are for any player that is interested in the playing for Gateway Rush in the 2026/27 season. They will allow players to see and experience training sessions with Gateway Rush staff.  The staff will also be evaluating the player’s ability to see how and where a player would be best suited if they decided to join a Rush team.  It will also serve as the first opportunity to evaluate players in the new age group matrix.

Why is it important to attend?

  • Evaluation: Coaches use these to see how a player handles a real training environment, looking at technical skill, work ethic, and "soccer IQ."
  • Experience: It’s a "two-way street"—players get to see if the Gateway Rush staff’s coaching style and the team dynamic are the right fit for them.
  • Placement: Attending these sessions often helps the staff pre-identify which team (United, Premier, etc.) would be most appropriate for a player heading into tryouts.
